About Keyara
An independent consulting practice run by one person, working mostly with small organizations that have outgrown a process nobody ever formally designed.
Why this practice exists
There is a lot of money being spent right now on technology that doesn't touch the actual constraint. A team is slow, so a platform gets bought. The platform doesn't fix it, because the platform was never the problem — the handoff between two departments was, or the fact that approval thresholds were never agreed, or that one person is re-typing the same data into three systems.
I started this practice because that gap kept showing up, and because small organizations rarely have anyone whose job it is to look at the whole workflow and say plainly what's wrong with it.
The name has .ai in it and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I do work with AI, I keep current with it, and when it's genuinely the right tool I'll say so and build it. But the work starts with your problem, not with the technology — and a good share of the time the recommendation involves no AI at all.
What I believe about this work
- Evidence beats enthusiasm. Vendor claims get tested against your systems before they turn into a purchase order.
- The smallest change that works is the right one. Big transformations fail at a much higher rate than small reversible ones, and they cost more to unwind.
- Adoption is part of the design. A solution your staff quietly refuse to use isn't a solution. Political and cultural constraints are real constraints.
- You should be able to fire me and keep going. Documentation and handover are part of the deliverable, not an upsell.
- Sometimes the answer is "don't." And you'll hear it early, before there's an invoice attached.
